      On November 3, 2023, China Railway Shanhe No. 65 mud-water balanced shield machine was successfully rolled out of the line, which will be used in the civil construction of the Guangzhou Fangbai Intercity Project in the seventh working area.

 

      Guangzhou Fangbai Intercity Project starts from Fangcun Station to Baiyun Airport North Station, with a total length of about 41.1 kilometers and a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour, of which the seventh section of Fangbai Intercity strives to be completed and delivered by the end of 2025. The shield interval is difficult to construct and needs to overcome the situation of large slope, small radius, long distance and complex geology, etc. In view of the risks of the geology and the project itself, China Railway Shanhe adopts a number of targeted shield machine In view of the geology and the risks of the project, China Railway Shanhe has adopted a number of targeted designs for the shield machine, combined with BIM construction and digital construction, to improve quality and increase efficiency for the project construction.

      After the project is completed, it will be connected with Guangzhou Metro Line 22, interconnected with Guanghua Intercity, and operated across Metro Line 18, forming an important north-south transportation corridor in Guangzhou metropolitan area, and it will take 30 minutes for everyone to take the intercity line to reach the city center and Baiyun International Airport, and 45 minutes for everyone to reach Nansha and Baiyun International Airport.

Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area Intercity Line Fangcun to Baiyun Airport Intercity Project is being orderly promoted, will further promote the construction of the “rail on the Great Bay Area”.
